Representative Office, also shorted as RO, is an institute, representing its parent company for liaison purpose with Chinese counterparts. There are the following required documents for RO registration.
(a) Application letter for establishment and registration of representative office;
(b) Foreign enterprise’s proof of address and its lawful business licence with validity of more than two years;
(c) Foreign enterprise’s articles of association or organisation agreement;
(d) Foreign enterprise’s letter of appointment of its chief representative and representatives;
(e) Identity certificates and resumes of the chief representative and representatives;
(f) Credit report issued by the financial institution which the foreign enterprise has business transactions with;
(g) Certificate of lawful utilisation for premises where the representative office is located.
