Government Affairs Service Center
In 2011, Government Affairs Service Center has tackled 1.091 million cases, accounting for 99.99 percent of the total; developed an integrated platform for administrative examination and approval; and established a database for all case dealing procedures and results. At present, the administrative licensing and its supporting services of different departments related to enterprise investment, operation and management have been concentrated on the Center. Customs, inspection and quarantine authorities have entered the Center and offer integrated services of registration, permanent assets investment, and trade management.
E-government affairs
By integrating government information sources and service sources, the Guangzhou E-government Affairs Center a convenient service system involving the official website of the municipal government; website where local residents can deal with social security, civil affairs, household registration, medical care, water and gas bill payment; online tackling of governmental affairs; social security card; digital certificate; online interaction between government and the common people; service hotline; and e-government affairs service hall. The Center offers comprehensive online services covering over hundred items, helps people solving their problems case-specifically around the clock. People can handle all procedures at home, at their work unit and many other places. Currently, 40 municipal government authorities and 12 district or town governments have set up their official website and published more than 90 percent of the government affairs information. 80 percent of online administrative licensing, examination and approval have been dealt with, 80 percent of service items referring to the local residents are available at communities. An all-inclusive online service hall has been established by the municipal government, where the public can settle service items that are available only at different official websites.
