The aim is to develop Qianhai into the ‘demonstration area of Guangdong-Hong Kong innovation cooperation in modern industry’. It was also determined that Qianhai should be built and developed at a high standard. The cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong puts into practice new approaches to Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation.
Qianhai's Geographical Features
It is divided into the Qianhai cooperation zone and the former Bay Bonded Port Area. Qianhai cooperation zone is located before the western part of Shenzhen Shekou Peninsula, the east coastal of the Pearl River estuary. it is located in the Pearl River Delta regional, with economic development and coastal features that expanded with spindle that across the intersection, adjacent to Hong Kong, Macau, by a double border, Moon Bay Boulevard, Mom Bay Avenue, Baoan Avenue and encirclement from the west shoreline. It covers 14.92 square kilometers.
