The manufacturer identification code is an important part of the commodity bar code. Any unit or individual who uses the commodity bar code must register according to the Regulations on the Administration of the Commodity Bar Code and obtain the manufacturer identification code. The validity period of the manufacturer identification code approved for registration is two years, and the enterprise shall go through the renewal formalities in time within three months before the expiry date of the certificate.
1. The applicant may consult the International Bar Code Service Center of China Code to apply for the identification code of the registered manufacturer.
2. The applicant shall fill in the Registration Form for Members of the China Commodity Bar Code System in three copies, present the official seal of the enterprise, the original copy of the business license and two copies thereof or the relevant certificates of legal business qualification, and provide copies. (Note: Registration Form for Members of China Commodity Bar Code System, if you fill in the application form online, you should print three copies of the form on the reverse side and stamp it with official seal. After providing the above materials, you should submit them to the local coding branch.)
3. For the application materials provided by the applicant, the preliminary examination shall be completed within five workers. For those who pass the preliminary examination, the examination and approval shall be conducted; for those who fail the preliminary examination, the application materials shall be returned to the applicant and the reasons shall be explained.
4. For the qualified application materials of the preliminary examination, the examination procedure shall be completed within 5 working days.
5. If the applicant is allowed to register the manufacturer's identification code, the Chinese Commodity Bar Code System Membership Certificate shall be issued by the Coding Center to obtain the membership of the Chinese Commodity Bar Code System.
6. No registered manufacturer identification code is allowed in any of the following circumstances:
A.Failure to produce a business license or relevant certificate of legal business qualification.
B.Organizations or units such as social organizations, trade associations, intermediaries, etc., which do not use the manufacturer identification code of their own units.
C. Other cases of violation of laws and regulations or the Articles of Association for International Articles Coding.
