Cancellation by force would seriously affect the company's director and the legal person. It is advisable that you cancel the company legally rather than taking risks.
Consequences
The Revenue Department will ask for tax declaration. If your company doesn't declare in time, you will be fined. What's worse, you would likely be summoned by court.
The director and the legal person might be blacklisted.
The Hong Kong company might be blacklisted and be cancelled by force, bank account might be frozen.
If blacklisted, there will be troubles occur when dealing with bank issues in Hong Kong, such as opening a Hong Kong bank account.
The blacklisted director or legal person will be required for an investigation when entering or exiting Hong Kong.

Business Registration, Cerfiticate of Incorporation, Articles of Association, Incorporation Form or Annual Return.
Liquidation report.
Process
The applicant should apply for Notice of No Objection to a Company being Deregistered to the Revenue Department. To obtain the document, all debts and business registration fees must be paid.
After obtaining the document, the applicant needs to submit other cancellation documents to the Hong Kong Companies Registry.
The Hong Kong Companies Registry will announce the cancellation in the gazette. When there are no written objections, the company will be officially cancelled.
Duration
It usually takes 6-8 months to cancel a Hong Kong company.The cancellation notice will be published in the gazette twice. When there are no written objections in 3 months after the first notice, the second notice will be published to declare the official cancellation.The cancellation can be applied any time. But it would be better to apply it in 3 months before the annual accounting, otherwise the Annual Return will be required.
