Where the trademark registrant intends to continue to use the registered trademark beyond the expiration of the period of validity, an application for renewal of the registration shall be made within six months before the said expiration. Foreign applicants who want to apply for trademark renewal in China shall entrust a qualified trademark agent in China, and when the renewal is applied for a joint-owned trademark, the applicant shall be the representative in the application.

1. Provide the document files.
2. Send the trademark renewal & invoice letter.
3. Confirm the trademark renewal application, sign an entrustment agreement and power of attorney for trademark renewal application, and pay the bill.
4. Submit the application files to China Trademark Office.
5. A substantive examination will be made by China Trademark Office within eight months.
6. The trademark renewal will be approved by China Trademark Office if pass the substantive examination.
7. Get the trademark renewal certificate.

1. A copy of China trademark certificate of registration.
2. Business Registration (BR) or ID cards of trademark owner.
3. Contact (including telephone, fax, and email).

Where no application therefore has been filed within the said period, a grace period of six months may be allowed, yet extra fees shall be charged for the delay of renewal. If no application has been filed at the expiration the grace period, the registered trademark shall be cancelled. The period of validity of each renewal of registration shaIl be ten years.
