Q & A of PU letter and visa regarding to the new policy

Here are a summary for PU letter:

1. Q: Can I apply for a visa directly without a PU invitation letter if holding visas which issued after 28th March?
A: European citizens who has valid residence which issued after 28th march, DO NOT need PU invitation letters. You can contact us to find out details of document requirements. Other citizens  should ask the embassies and consulates for details.

 

2. Q: If the residence permit was issued before March 28 and it is still valid, can I come in without a PU invitation letter?
A: You also need to apply for a visa to come in. Whether or not an invitation letter is required depends on the country's embassy or consulate. We can help you according to your situation and analyze the application plan based on your situation.


3. Q: If I hold an important position in the school, can I apply for an invitation letter to China?
A: Principal level applicants can apply regardless of nationality. Or for school leaders, the school has construction management needs from them also can apply.

 

Official news :Reply of Chinese embassy in England to PU invitation letter of EU nationality applicants:

1.UK or European citizens with a valid resident permit for China: if the UK or European applicant is still holding a valid resident permit with the purpose of work or personal purpose or family reunion, and applying with the same purpose as their current valid resident permit this time, then we can issue the same visa type with his/her valid resident permit. If for work purpose, the applicant will also need to provide an Employment Letter, and we can issue Z visa for them with valid resident permit.

2.If you don't have a valid resident permit then you need provide the work permit with an official ‘Invitation Letter (PU/TE)’ or ‘Verification Confirmation of Invitation’ issued by the local provincial Foreign Office or Department of Commerce.

3.If you wish to apply for Business visa (M or F visa) then you still need to provide an official ‘Invitation Letter (PU/TE)’ or ‘Verification Confirmation of Invitation’ issued by the local provincial Foreign Office or Department of Commerce.

Starting from August 18th, all visa applications and legalization must book an appointment before coming to the visa centre to submit the application.

For visa application, applicants need to fill in the online form first and then book an appointment. Applications will not be accepted by post - applicants between 14 to 70 must come in person to take the biometric information at the centre.
