High and new-tech industries, such as IT, modern Chinese traditional medicine, etc., have increased very fast and achieved 48 billion RMB high and new-tech production value.
Chengdu is an important commodity grain and oil production base and vegetables and subsidiary foodstuff supply base in the country. The countryside economic structure has gradually been adjusted and optimized, and the operation scale of intensive and industrial agriculture production has gradually enlarged. In the last year, we achieved a agriculture added value of 15.32 billion RMB; the leading enterprises whose annual production value or sales income exceed 50 million RMB increased to 83; we had constructed some production bases for high quality rice, oil material, vegetables, flowers, seedling trees and Chinese medicinal plant.
Chengdu is an important commodity and materials distributing center in the southwest region. The commerce and trade industry is prosperous and the market prospect is broad. Chengdu has initially formed a complete-function commerce and trade market system that is leaded by national markets, supported by key regional wholesale markets, based on retail markets, combined with large, middle and small markets, and various economic forms and operation modes are coexisting. Now there are 21 consumables trading markets whose business volume is above 100 million RMB and two capital goods markets whose business volume is above a billion RMB. In the last year, the entire city had a total volume of social consumables retail sales of 77.15 billion RMB, which took the first place in the provincial cities in the West. The modern service industry such as information service and agency have developed very well; the realty industry have developed sound and orderly whose sales amount of marketable housing achieved 20.26 billion RMB in the last year.
