Company Law of the People’s Republic of China and Sole Proprietorship Enterprise Law of the People’s Republic of China constitute the main laws and regulations on domestic invested enterprises.

The laws and regulations on foreign invested enterprises mainly comprises Law of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-foreign Equity Joint Ventures, Law of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-foreign Contractual Joint Ventures, Law of the People's Republic of China on Foreign-funded Enterprises and Law of the People's Republic of China on Protection of Investments by Taiwan Compatriots and their regulations and rules for implementation. Company Law of the People’s Republic of China is applicable to foreign invested limited liability companies. In case there are separate provisions by the above-mentioned laws, those provisions shall prevail. The contracts for the establishment of foreign-invested enterprises by Chinese and foreign investors are a kind of economic contracts involving foreign interests and bound by Contract Law of the People's Republic of China.
