CIEME in Shenyang - Brief Introduction
The China International Equipment Manufacturing Exposition (hereinafter referred to as CIEME) is a national-level international large-scale professional exposition which is hosted by Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM), National Development and Reform Commission (NRDC), Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT), Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China (MOST), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the People's Government of Liaoning Province, co-organized by China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) and CCPIT Liaoning Sub-council, and organized by the People's Government of Shenyang Municipality. CIEME is held annually in Shenyang from September 1st to September 5th.
CIEME in Shenyang - Scale of CIEME
CIEME, with the theme of "equipment manufacture and high & new technology", has been successfully held for 11 sessions since 2002. The total exhibition area reached 749,000 m2, the number of stands was 33405, and the number of exhibitors reached 7721 enterprise-times. The proportion of foreign invested enterprises to overseas enterprises reached 30%, and they respectively came from 23 countries and regions. The number of purchasers at home and abroad, visiting delegations and professional visitors reached 1175 thousand person-times. Nearly one hundred of various large-scale international summit forums were held, and more than 230 professional activities including various technology lectures, purchase orders and product promotion were held.
CIEME in Shenyang - The Leadership of CIEME
Mr. Li Keqiang, Mr. Wu Bangguo, Mr. Li Tieying, Mr. Li Guixian, Mdm. Gu Xiulian, Mr. Bai Lichen, Mr. Chen Changzhi, Mr. Wang Wenyuan, Mdm. Zhang Meiying, Mr. Zhou Tienong, Mr. Li Jinhua and other state leaders have visited and inspected CIEME. Mr. Chen Deming, Minister of MOFCOM, Mr. Du Ying, deputy director of NRDC, Mr. Su Bo, vice minister of MIIT, Mr. Cao Jianlin, vice minister of MOST, Mr. Wan Jifei, chairman of CCPIT, and Mr. Chen Zhenggao, governor of the People's Government of Liaoning Province, served as directors of CIEME. Mr. Shi Guangsheng, Mr. lv Fuyuan, Yu Xiaosong, Mr. Zhang Guobao, who have ever served as leaders of ministries and commissions, also have successively served as leaders of the Organizing Committee of CIEME.

As a national-level international large-scale professional exhibition held under the background of revitalizing old industrial bases in the northeast China, CIEME has always insisted on the strategy of reform and development and adhered to the leadership of Chinese government. During all previous CIEME, "National New Industrialization Equipment Manufacturing Industry Demonstration Base's Achievements Exhibition" of MIIT, "China's Significant Technological Equipment Achievements Exhibition during the Period of the Tenth Five-Year Plan" of NRDC, "Aviation & Aerospace Supporting Parts Exhibition" of Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, "National Energy Technology and Equipment Exhibition" of National Energy Administration, and "China Summit Forum on the Development of Energy Equipment Industry 2011" and "China Summit Forum on the Development of Energy Equipment Industry 2012"of MIIT, were successively held. CIEME has become an important platform by which top equipment manufacturing enterprises at home and abroad could show strength, seek cooperation, communicate with each other and exploit the market. CIEME also has become an important window by which China could be familiar to the world and go forward to the world. CIEME has played an important role in undertaking the industrial transfer of the international manufacturing industry, and made an major contribution to the revitalization of old industrial bases in the northeast China and the development of the China equipment manufacturing industry.
After its 11-year development, CIEME has formed the exhibition pattern of integrating numerically controlled machine tools, industrial automation equipment, engineering machinery, energy equipment and other general and special equipment, and has had a large number of exhibitors and professional customer groups. CIEME has become an international well-known exhibition for product display, information exchange, trade orders, academic seminar, investment negotiations and technical cooperation in the international equipment manufacturing industry, and has been successively honored with "China Top Ten Brand Exhibition", "China Top Ten Most Influential Brand Exhibition" and "Top Ten Government-oriented Exhibition".
