Changsha has great news for international travelers, as Hunan of Central China recently announced that international transit passengers can enjoy 72-hour visa-free entry in the province through the Huanghua Airport, situated at provincial capital Changsha.
The facility will be implemented with immediate effect.
Travelers from 51 countries could enter without visas under the policy, from now on itself, reported Hunan Daily. However, the specific country name list has not been revealed.
The transit passengers can stay 72-hours within the Hunan province after they enter China via Changsha Huanghua International Airport with third-country visas and confirmed plane tickets to leave for another country within the time limit.
A principal from the Hunan Provincial Office of Port Service said that the 72-hour visa-free policy will bring great convenience for inbound tourism and business travels and help boost an open economy in Hunan.
51 countries with 72-hour visa exemption policy are as follows:
1. 24 European countries with Schengen Visa-agreement:
Austria, Belgium, the Czech republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
2. 13 other European countries:
Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia.
3. 6 American countries:
The United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Chile.
4. 2 Oceania countries:
Australia, New Zealand
5. 6 Asian countries:
South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar
