The general situation of China’s trade in services in 2015
In 2015, China’s total imports and exports is 713 billion dollars, an year-on-year growth of 14.6%, the growth rate increased 2 percentage points compared to the year of 2014. Among the services exports amounts is 288.19 billion dollars, increased by 9.2%, service imports amounts is 424.81 billions dollars, increased by 18.6%
The deficit in service trade reduced to 136.62 billion dollars. In 2015, China’s service trade accounted for 15.3%, increased 3 percent compared to 2014.
The development of service trade in China in the first quarter of 2016
In first quarter of 2016, China’s service trade maintains rapid growth, and imports and exports amounts to 187.11 billion dollars, has an increase of 16.3%.
1. Service imports maintains rapid growth, export service has a decline.
In the first quarter of 2016, China’s imports services is 121.47 billion dollars, has an increase of 29.1%, the export volume is 65.64 billion dollars, contracted 1.7% year-on-year, and service trade deficit is 55.83 billion dollars. Insurance services, processing services, maintenance and repair services, travel services to achieve rapid growth in imports, the use of intellectual property rights, construction services, processing services exports decreased significantly.
2. Tourism services accounted for the rise, transport services and construction services fell significant
The first quarter of 2016, only to achieve positive growth in the traditional tourism service, import and export amounted to 84.9 billion dollars, has an increase of 40.3%. At Spring Festival holiday, Chinese outbound tourism is hot, driving tourism services increased by 64.3%. Transport services and construction services and import and export of has a large degree of atrophy, respectively decreased by 19.5% and 17.9%, accounting for the proportion of total import and export of service trade has further decline.
3. High value-added services of import and export is different, there is a rapid growth of computer and information services
In the first quarter of 2016, the import and export of telecommunications, computer and information services achieved a rapid growth of 15.5%, in which the import and export of computer services and information services increased by 12.6% and 78.1% respectively, and telecommunications services declined by 23.4%. Industry management and advisory services import and export have a growth of 5.9%.
